So I've heard about this store since my Vogue addiction developed in high school, but had never visited one. Austin has one, so we went the week before Christmas. Wow! Seriously, it is miles more intimidating than Nordstrom's or Saks. Anyway, I spied the clearance racks in the shoe department and lo and behold, they had actual size 11s. (I hope my feet don't grow another half size during my next pregnancy!) And these size 11s were in Jimmy Choos and Manolo Blahniks! Aiieee! Let me just say that Blahniks are exactly as luscious as their original $1000 price tag (buttery leather and they were comfortable!) and were a steal at a reduced $350 price tag. Oh man! It's probably best that this temptation hit while being deep in grad school-related debt...I'm confident I'm at least creative enough to try to justify such a purchase.

You know the Texas Missionary Murder Massacre where the 2 elders were put through a meat grinder...um, yeah, that is our ward!! Our current Bishop's dad was bishop back then, had gone to meet this investigator with the elders and told the missionaries they shouldn't go back to that house - but you know how elders are just hopeful that one more visit will seal the deal...Yikes!
Laurel had a great time finding the snowman finger puppet inside her shoes in honor of St. Nicholas Day. Luke may give the old man more respect since being the recipient of a chocolate-studded panetone. [Note the open drawers in these photos; Laurel loves playing with the tablecloths etc. stored in this bureau.]
