Rhode Island, Here We Come...Right Back Where We Almost Started From

So. The last most of you heard, back in the early fall, Luke was digging his PhD program. But the bloom wore off of that rose pretty quickly. Since November he's been exploring other options, and has decided to go into city management. We feel so blessed that he has been offered a position in the field, and as of August 3rd he'll be working for the city of West Warwick, RI. It's a scrappy old mill town that needs some lovin', and Luke's dying to get in there and help things along.
We are so fond of Austin and will miss it so much - especially our ward friends, but this is the best thing for our family right now.
But as for our Cambridge friends - reunion! There are some new additions I'm particularly keen to see: Will & Lily, Lincoln, and Mark there are some big hugs in store for you!

August 3rd?! That's really soon! I'm really excited that you guys have this great opportunity, but so sad to think that you'll be leaving us!

YAY!!!!!!! But wait-- we're only here until the Spring, then what if I get my wish and we move to Austin? Won't that just be sad and ironic?
At least we'll have one more year. Let us know when the dust settles and we can arrange a welcome back shindig!

I am so sorry it has taken me forever to get back to you. Hooray for supportive wives! I am sure you guys will love your adventure in Rhode Island. Good for Luke for deciding what he really wanted to do and being able to walk away from his program - that takes guts. But it is only after walking through a little bit of darkness that we are led to the promised land, right?

Good luck with the move. If you drive through Houston, we'd love to see you :) And thanks so much for the Houston shopping guide - that was so thoughtful. As soon as I am feeling a bit more recovered, I'll have to head out and check out some of those places.

Amanda, you did such an amazing job with the Young Women. You are a great example that the girls (and leaders) looked up to. You will definitely be missed!

I knew the attractive pull of New England would be irresistible.

The real question for me is, "Does West Warwick have the mob like Providence does?" Because when Paige and I went to Providence, it was like entering a 1990s gangster movie.

I would also like to note that it costs 7 dollars to ride the commuter rail from Providence to South Station. You are now required to visit your friends in Cambridge.

I'm absolutely elated! Hooray for your latest adventure -- and I hope we'll see you soon!
