Getting to Know the Neighbors

I love living in a house big enough for lots of guests, and I really wanted to throw a party after getting here. After brainstorming with my mom, we decided that hosting an open house wouldn't be as much fun as having a neighborhood potluck. So in honor of our fourth week in town, we dropped invites at the homes (and businesses) of all our neighbors on the surrounding streets. Our Saturday evening get together was a raging success; we had 40 people attend, kids playing in the yard, burgers on the [neighbors'] grill..I've never had so much fun. And we had a great mix of Mormon and non-Mormon attendees.
I can't wait until the holidays to do this again!

Accountability Project: 171.7 pounds (Week 13)

I did fit in 2 days of exercise this week; picked up Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD on sale at Target on Friday and it is intense - but I can handle intense for 20 minutes. Laurel loves doing the jumping jacks with me.

Accountability Project: 172.4 pounds (Week 12)

Okay, so I'm really actually committing to exercising this week. Today I snuck in about 12 minutes while Dean was sleeping...Better something than nothing, right?

Accountability Project: 173.7 pounds (Week 11)

Okay weird. I promise I'm not starving myself! But whenever I've let myself go cuisine wise and then I get back on the healthy eating bandwagon, I always lose a ton of weight right away. (Course then it stalls for weeks on end.) Do high fat diets just make me bloated or what? Cause that is definitely water weight!

Accountability Project: 177.9 pounds (Week 10)

Well, we're going to pretend that it's Week 10 since I took a 2 week hiatus. And of course I gained weight - but my focus was so elsewhere, and needed to be. It's hard to pack, move, and unpack with a newborn and a gregarious toddler who wants to help but doesn't always succeed. But enough excuses.
This week I'm going to go back to the drawing board and just focus on the reasons I want to lose weight. And fit more walks into my fabulous walkable city!
