Accountability Project: 173.7 pounds (Week 11)

Okay weird. I promise I'm not starving myself! But whenever I've let myself go cuisine wise and then I get back on the healthy eating bandwagon, I always lose a ton of weight right away. (Course then it stalls for weeks on end.) Do high fat diets just make me bloated or what? Cause that is definitely water weight!

I think that is pretty normal, that always happens to me too. But I bet it still feels good to see that number going down on the scale, for whatever reason! Good job Amanda!

And I love the view you have, it sounds so wonderful where you live:)

I think when you increase your calories briefly your body is still burning fat while it replenishes its glycogen supplies with the excess calories. Since fats are the densest storage (3500 calories a pound) they seem the hardest to burn off. If your glycogen is replenished, it will drop pounds fast with little calorie deficit. Some people think a 2000 calorie deficit is enough to drop 4 pounds of glycogen. Of course, then your glycogen is depleted and it is back to fighting the fat again. That's my take on it. Keep up the good work, and don't be discouraged if it slows back down.
