Tuesday the youngest two were nursing pretty good colds, so I let them stay home from school...but not too sick to make a trip to Lowe's. I was drilling pilot holes for our #10 screws, but Dean thought he could do a better job. So after I finished one leg he insisted on finishing the other 3. I was relegated to holding the table leg still for him. Anne was in charge of holding the screws.

The 3rd through 6th graders compete in the school spelling bee - Laurel was one of the last 4 students left when she went out on "regents". She said, "r-e" and then said "j" but turned it into a "g" - dipthong style, so they had to call it as incorrect. She was quite upset - she really wanted to place at least 3rd so she could get a trophy. Oh boy.
The elementary school uses the junior high script because they think the kids can handle it. Laurel loved it - although after 4 evening performances, the parents were quite happy for it to end. We took a day off as a family when everything was done and spent some time in SLC at museums. Good R&R.
